A ninth-generation Georgian, David was born at Emory Hospital in Atlanta on September 5, 1968. His early childhood was spent in Tucker and Stone Mountain. By the time he started in school, the family had settled in Lilburn where he graduated from Brookwood High School in Snellville. After finishing high school, he attended the University of Georgia where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science. He later attended Georgia State University and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting. He held a variety of retail positions over the years and most recently worked in inventory control for Sears.
David was an ardent sports enthusiast and a lifelong fan of his Georgia Bulldogs as well as the Atlanta Braves and the Atlanta Falcons. His family and friends will greatly miss his dry wit, quiet nature and big heart.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA, 30084 on Monday, December 5 for his family to celebrate his life and memory. Pastor John Byerly of the Presbyterian Church of the Redeemer in Snellville will officiate the service.
