Leonor Cardona Angert, 91 of Decatur died April 2, 2017. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Celestino and Marcela Sanabria Cardona.

Leonor is survived by her daughter, Lisa Angert Morris (Joel) of Decatur and stepson Ron Angert (Ann) of Virginia, and their children Jack (Erica) and Anilia (John) and their families. Additional surviving family members are her cousin Mario Tejero (Ada) in Puerto Rico and their children and grandchildren, as well as, her nieces Rhona Kotler (Gary), Linda Balsamo (Ray) and nephew Mark Lipsky (Brenda) and their children....

Leonor Cardona Angert, 91 of Decatur died April 2, 2017. She was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Celestino and Marcela Sanabria Cardona.

Leonor is survived by her daughter, Lisa Angert Morris (Joel) of Decatur and stepson Ron Angert (Ann) of Virginia, and their children Jack (Erica) and Anilia (John) and their families. Additional surviving family members are her cousin Mario Tejero (Ada) in Puerto Rico and their children and grandchildren, as well as, her nieces Rhona Kotler (Gary), Linda Balsamo (Ray) and nephew Mark Lipsky (Brenda) and their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband of 39 years, Daniel, and infant son, Donald.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 10 2017 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Floral Hills Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until service time.

The family gives special thanks to our circle of family, friends, and neighbors who lovingly welcomed Leonor to Atlanta. We are especially appreciative for the extraordinary medical care provided by Thacker Thompson & Bernard-- Sheryl Thacker MD, Maria Vint, Melissa Adamson, and Cassandra Rowland; Piedmont Cancer Institute-Perry Ballard MD, Stephanie Braatz, and Anna Edwards; and to all staff and caregivers at The Aviv Rehabilitation Center and Weinstein Hospice at The William Breman Jewish Home. We are grateful to all the people who work behind the scenes in these places of healing and comfort and would like to acknowledge the compassion, dignity, and grace Leonor was surrounded by in her later years.
